The purpose of this group is to bring together fans of indie music: shoegazer, electronica, experimental, brit-pop, alternative, synth-pop, ambient, new wave, low-fi, slow-core, dream-pop, post-rock, dance-punk, etc. ? so that we can discover new tunes, watch bands, and meet other like-minded folk.

If there's a local show you'd like to see, and no one to go with, bring it up and we'll put it on the calendar. No need to drag reluctant friends or going by yourself (or, worse yet, missing a show because you don't want to go by yourself).

We can also meet up for a CD swap. It could be something quick, like a mix-CD exchange, or hanging out just to listen to, and appreciating, indie music ? show off a recent fave or indulge in nostalgia. Some drinking will probably be involved with this :-)

Well, due to the success of our last (and first) music exchange, I'm setting up another one for this month. No worries, this isn't the *only* thing we'll be doing (I hope), but you guys need to help me out w/ ideas and events. :-)
